Let's keep up the good work.

I think Milton is a well run town. I’m extremely grateful for the hard work and efforts of our Town employees and people who engage in public service. Because of my experiences as a creative professional and a practiced problem solver, I can bring a new perspective to issues and help find opportunities that others might miss.

When it comes to budgets, I’m a fiscal conservative. We should always be clear-minded about what we can afford. My philosophy is always to try to do more with less and look for savings at every opportunity.

Milton is growing and will likely continue to grow. People want to live here – and for good reason. How the growth of our town looks is up to us. I’m an advocate for slow, wisely managed growth. That’s how we thrive. Rapid growth for its own sake is inadvisable. It can damage a community and negatively impact quality of life.

Our challenge is to create a vision of the future that serves each and every one of us. Luckily, there’s good news. Much of the hard work of planning has already been done. Groups like Milton on the Move have created comprehensive plans for potential growth involving a Town Core. These plans show thoughtful and professional work. Plus, our planning and zoning regulations have been evolving to reflect sensible development regulations for every part of our town.

Recently, plans were presented that showed the potential costs and benefits of new recreational facilities. Work is in progress to create public access to Arrowhead Mountain Lake near the dam funded largely through a generous grant. The future of Milton is looking brighter all the time.

In the end, no matter who you are or what you believe, we need to have each other’s backs. That’s what makes a community. And that’s what matters.
